Being an island
The Hawaiian Islands are abundant; nature absorbs the creamsicle rainbow skies, such a vibrant place.
From the depths of the volcanoes, a vortex of regenerative force infuses every corner of the island.
For centuries, Pacific Islanders have learned how to live in harmony with the world around them, embracing balance and sustainability by harnessing and living off the land.
I felt at home in the universe on this island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
I felt a deep sense of belonging to the elements and was profoundly inspired by the beauty and deliciousness around me. Edible plants are everywhere—you can survive without supermarkets. It’s incredible.
It makes you reconsider the meaning of true wealth and how little you need to thrive!
A rainbow diet, pure water, sunshine, and the great outdoors—these are the essentials.
The islands teach you to be your own vortex of regeneration.
Even though some of the abundance in the Hawaiian Islands comes from non-native fruits, the beauty lies in how these plants from all over the world have made the islands their home, bringing so much color and beauty to people’s diets.
I felt forever embraced by this dreamy, creamy heaven. There’s so much love here that my words fall short.
With love,
Maria
