I am home
I was born and raised in central Mexico, moved abroad for the first time when I was 15 to Vancouver to then spend a decade of my life out and about in various places: Vancouver, Lausanne, Cannes, Barcelona, Rotterdam, Toronto, Montreal, Mexico City, San Francisco and Hawai’i
Half of my ancestry can be traced to Hungary (clearly, I have a lot of gypsy in me), the north of Africa and Southern Spain, the mayo tribe in the North of Mexico to fully caucasian Spanish based in Mexico for generations.
I am not going to lie I do feel unrooted at times, without being able to pinpoint where I truly belong yet on many occasions it has been brought to my attention that one must look beyond geopolitical boundaries to see that I am home already wherever I choose to be, culture in some cases it can be extraordinary different but the Earth is home.
and it is true… Earth is home.
